מימינו בכסף שתינו

Yesterday night, when I read these verses from Eikha (the Book of Lamentations), I thought of the universality of the feeling of injustice:

נַחֲלָתֵנוּ נֶהֶפְכָה לְזָרִים, בָּתֵּינוּ לְנָכְרִים.
...
מֵימֵינוּ בְּכֶסֶף שָׁתִינוּ, עֵצֵינוּ בִּמְחִיר יָבֹאוּ.

נחתלתנו נהפכה לזרים, בתינו לנכרים.
...
מימינו בכסף שתינו, עצינו במחיר יבואו.


Our inheritance (land) was turned over to foreigners, our houses to gentiles.
...
We had to pay money to drink our water and a price to bring our wood.


In particular, it is a proper to remember that Palestinans uprooted from their houses and fields feel that way, and settlers uprooted from Gush Katif as well.
