A quotation

From which movie is the following quotation?

First, trust no one, whatever his uniform or rank, unless he is known to you personally. Second, anyone or anything that approaches within 200 yards of the perimeter is to be fired upon. Third, if in doubt, shoot first, and ask questions afterwards. I would sooner accept a few casualties through accident than lose the entire base and its personnel through carelessness. Any variation on these rules must come from me personally.

Answer below...

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb... Link. Quotes. Transcript.

Google told me, it is "Black Hawk Down", directed by Alan Cox. I have never seen this movie, but is this the correct answer? And is there any price to win?

PS: And no, we don't have snow in Münster.

Hi Bernd,

I'm afraid it's a wrong answer!

You apparently found this link but it just shows that the expression has entered the cultural background of journalists and critics, but "Black Hawk Down" is not the source of the quotation.

The answer is at the bottom of my post. I can help you by suggesting you look into Stanley Kubrick's movies. Kubrick is a real master.

Cheers,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

that's correct, but I did not pay any further attention to your hint "see below", the font with "Dr. Strangelove ..." was only weakly visible.
